Here’s the dances I taught at the latest extra class at Canwick Village Hall on Saturday, 3rd April 2010.
SUGAR CANDY (Neville Fitzgerald & Julie Harris) A 64 count 4 wall easy intermediate dance to a funky sort of reggae style track. It opens with a bit of a rap but the main song is a reworking of the old Archies hits “Sugar Sugar”.
UNDERCOVER (Robbie McGowan Hickie) One of several new dances from Robbie, I went with this one as its catchy upbeat pop track. 48 counts, 4 walls, 2 restarts and 1 tag but not too hard. Music by Cosmo4 to a track called What’s Your Name.
QUITTER (Maggie Gallagher) Another fastish track but this time to the country sound of Carrie Underwood. 64 count, 4 wall improver level dance that reminds me of the dance called The World from a few years back.
I also recapped a dance from my last Saturday extra class at the end of February – Robbie & Kate’s Upside Down.
Several people said they liked all three dances and I think my own favourite was Undercover. Another good turnout, especially for the Easter weekend so thanks to all who came out. Special thanks to Chris Mellors who kindly agreed to recap an oldie for us – he did a couple of walls of Robbie’s Blue Beyond.
