Thanks

Thanks to all in the club who donated to charity instead of sending Christmas cards to each other this year. Each box, (one for the St Barnabas hospice and one for Macmillan Cancer Support) had just over £11 pound in. Kate and I made each one up to £25 and sent a cheque off to the respective charities. We’ve had a very nice letter of thanks from the Macmillan for Lincolnshire office.

Songs I quite like No 2.

Haven’t been that keen on previous songs by this artist, but I do like the repetitive nature of the music that accompanies this song. The video has a rather strange start but the song starts properly at 28 seconds in.

Songs I quite like No 1.

Paolo Nutini recorded “Live In Lincoln”. This track 10/10 (ten out of ten) has a distinctly reggae feel. A total contrast to his recent single Pencil Full Of Lead which was another of my favourite tracks from 2009. Wish I had discovered Paolo before he came to play at The Engine Shed in Lincoln!  Maggie G has an improver dance to this track but the dance we have seen being done around here is the one by Maria Hennings Hunt which is also improver level.

Thanks to all who visit the website, some people I know and some I have yet to meet.  I hope you all have a Merry Xmas and a happy and healthy New Year!  All the best for 2010.

To all class members, there will be a class at Canwick every week EXCEPT on 22nd December and 12th January.

Thanks for your continued support.
